Maple Valley Varsity Lions Breeze Past Everest Collegiate Varsity Mountaineers

Game 1 Maple Valley Varsity Lions easily dispatched Everest Collegiate Varsity Mountaineers on Saturday, 15-0. Maple Valley Varsity Lions got on the board in the top of the first inning after Teegen McDonald drew a walk, scoring one run, Bobby Bryson doubled, scoring one run, Darren Carpenter singled, scoring two runs, and Trapper Wawiernia lined out, scoring one run. Maple Valley Varsity Lions added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Maple Valley Varsity Lions scored on a wild pitch, and Josh Miller doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run. Maple Valley Varsity Lions added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after TJ Pierce was struck by a pitch, and McDonald grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run. Maple Valley Varsity Lions scored six runs on one hit in the top of the fourth inning. Cooper Joseph drew a walk, scoring one run, Pierce was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, McDonald singled, scoring one run, Bryson drew a walk, scoring one run, Miller drew a walk, scoring one run, and an error scored one run. Nolan Hoefler stepped on the mound first for Maple Valley Varsity Lions. The starting pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one.
