Varsity Boys fall to Quincy

The varsity boys drop game at home to Quincy on Thursday night. Maple Valley was led by Ayden Wilkes who had 17 points 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Jake McDonald added 10 points, 10 rebounds and 3 steals. It was a night where we struggled to find the bottom of the net. We were able to get a lot of good looks and were not able to make many shots. I thought defensively we played a pretty good game. We let things get away from us in the 2nd quarter a little bit and we're not able to dig our way out of it. We felt like we played a really solid first quarter. Jake and Cam Carpenter dominated the boards. We did good job of crashing the offensive glass and created extra opportunities for ourselves but were not able to capitalize on it. When you looked at the scoreboard we felt like we should have been up by more. I thought Jake and Cam got back to doing some things that they were doing well early in the season. Callan Hoefler did an outstanding job in their leading scorer last night. If we can clean a few things up on the defensive end and make some shots we will have some success. Coach Ryan Nevins
