Maple Valley Lions lost to Delton-Kellogg, 65-49, on Tuesday despite 24 points from Teegen McDonald. Leading 33-32, Delton-Kellogg went on a 12-2 run to pull further away. Leading 45-36, Delton-Kellogg went on a 9-point run to pull further away. Maple Valley had a great day shooting from inside the arc, finishing 18-31 on twos. Maple Valley rebounded the ball well, collecting 27 rebounds. Jakeb McDonald led the team with 8 rebounds. Teegen McDonald hit two threes for Maple Valley. The Lions passes the ball well with 11 assists on 21 made baskets. Maple Valley pressured the ball all game, collecting 12 steals. Eli Wright (8 points), Hayze Sifton ( 8 points), Jakeb McDonald (5 points), Kelvin Nevins-Davis (2 points, and Bobby Bryson (2 points) helped the Lions in scoring. The JV/Varsity Lions will travel to Saranac on Tuesday, December 3rd.
